Summer Academic Courses for Incoming Freshmen

Prep Courses
圣依纳爵预备学院提供了几门课程，旨在为大一新生准备严格的第一年课程.  在圣依纳爵注册的新生有资格注册大学预科阅读, Grammar and Writing, Algebra 1 Prep, and Science Prep.  These courses will run during Session 1 and Session 2.

Credit-earning Courses
有限的空间将提供给新生参加一个学期的艺术导论, Introduction to Music, or Total Wellness 1 course over the summer. These graded, credited, 2 hour, six week courses begin on TBD and conclude on TBD. Students will have the week of July TBD off. There is a separate fee for each course. In the Total Wellness course, preference will be given to freshman students enrolled in a year long Band, Orchestra, or Choir course. Wolfpack Welcome – Summer Orientation 
 Facilitated by school administration, faculty members, and rising Saint Ignatius seniors, Wolfpack Welcome旨在帮助圣依纳爵电子娱乐网址大全的最新成员在学习学校传统的同时适应电子游戏平台大全, meeting new classmates, and becoming acquainted with the WOLFPACK schedule and school buildings.

  • Algebra 1 Prep

The course also introduces the proper use of the scientific calculator, the use of variables in problem-solving, signed numbers and graphing on a coordinate plane.   • Algebra 1 Survey

    Eligibility for this course is by MATH DEPARTMENT INVITATION ONLY.

  • College Prep Reading, Grammar and Writing

The course will include outlining; specialized reading skills and strategies for various disciplines (literature, history, language); and skills pertinent to the study of foreign languages.   • Introduction to Art

    本课程为期六周，可为新生修满一学期的美术学分. 艺术导论教授学生艺术创作的技巧、技巧和各种过程. Students will be introduced to a variety of materials such as: pencil, charcoal, soft pastel, oil pastel, ink, watercolor, and clay. Students are taught the formal elements of drawing; line, space, value, color, form/shape, texture, and composition as well as the formal elements of sculpture. Even though this class is skill based, this is a class that most importantly focuses on building confidence in art making.

  • Introduction to Music

    本课程为期六周，可为新生修满一学期的美术学分. Students will develop music theory skills, historical knowledge, and an understanding and appreciation of music. Students will learn to play the guitar. Music theory will be applied through composition and guitar performances.

  • Science Prep
